La Fabrika

Our story

My name is Sam Guilhot, and I chose to build my career in craftsmanship, specializing in the making of cement tiles and zellige. I was fortunate enough to learn this unique skill in a traditional workshop near Tangier, where each piece tells a story of tradition and handcraft.

Through La Fabrika I wanted to combine elegance, ethics and sustainability, in service of authentic and moving projects in order to transmit and honor this heritage.

Ethics & know-how

Our cement tiles and zellige tiles are the product of demanding craftsmanship, where time, skill, and expertise play a central role. Each piece is crafted using traditional methods passed down through generations, resulting in a living material, natural nuances, and an authenticity that industrial processes cannot replicate.

We advocate a balanced and transparent approach to craftsmanship: fair compensation, respect for workshops, and honest collaborations, far removed from any logic of volume or low prices. Behind every tile, artisans invest their experience and commitment to guarantee quality work, respecting both the people involved and the natural pace of production.

This small-scale production allows us to preserve the richness of the materials, limit excesses, and encourage responsible consumption. Choosing our tiles means opting for a meaningful product that combines aesthetics and respect for people. It also means supporting and remembering a living craft, rooted in time and focused on enduring quality.

La Fabrika proudly showcases the heritage of its artisans and tiles, which are not just decoration but a subtle, bespoke art.
